YOUTH FX URBAN  MEDIA  PROGRAM
Ages: 14-17


Introduces and provides young people, 14-17 access to music and multimedia production tools and teaches high-tech skills to use them. Based on the belief that young people can use video, music, photography and multimedia to spark social change in their community. The young people work with Media Mentors on projects and learn to use the latest software, such as Final Cut, Logic, and Abelton, along with Photos, After Effects and Illustrator.

Workshops are offered for ages 11– 17.

The goal of the program is to provide young people with the skills and knowledge needed to take an active role in ensuring their own success. C2C helps members explore career options, provides college campus tours and academic support.

GOOGLE MAKE PROGRAM
Our young MAKERS work together to “make” and build things: it is that simple!  Activities include coding, circuitry, animation and do it yourself art and design.

EXPO Center Summer Youth Job Program

Sponsored by the Friends of EXPO Center, this program prepares at-risk youth for the workforce. During the school year, teens participate in job preparedness workshops, such as resume/cover letter.

MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL PICK-UP PROGRAM

Program provides school pick-up and homework assistance only.

Fee: $20.00            Grades: 6-12
One-Time Non-Refundable Registration Fee: $20.00

Days: Mon-Fri       Hours: 2:30 pm-5:30 pm

Pick-Up Route*: 32nd St/USC Magnet, Clinton School,  Foshay Learning Center  any school within a 5 mile radius of  EXPO Center  only.

* 5 Registered students from each school is required for Pick Up Service

TEEN COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY 

Teen Ages: 14-17  
Program Registration: On-going

Teen Volunteers get an opportunity to gain work experience, earn school credits, give back to the community, improve and gain new skills.

Volunteer Opportunity Areas:
Sport Program, Pre-School, Aquatics, Senior Citizen, After-School Enrichment Program, Teen Program, YOLA, Volunteer Field Trips

Requirement: LiveScan must be complete and cleared prior to starting an assignment

TEEN MEMBER MEETING
Every first Thursday of each Month    Hour: 4:30pm
 MENTOR OPPORTUNITIES

Mentors Needed!
 All individuals interested in becoming Mentor’s must be at least 18 years of age and commit at least one hour per week for a 12-week period. Mentors with Technology expertise are highly needed. Mentors with knowledge in Animation, Photoshop, Filming, Scratch and Garage band are preferred.  Mentors that have knowledge in Math, Science , History and other subject are highly needed.  Mentors must be a positive role model, self-starter, must be interested in the arts/technology and have passion for helping teens.
